Working meeting will engage members, partners to help Alliance move activities to the next level
The Minnesota Cancer Alliance invites individuals from the cancer community to the sixth annual Cancer Summit 2009: Partners in Progress, Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Hotel Sofitel in Bloomington. Health care professionals, community outreach workers, advocates and survivors will come together for this working meeting to help take Alliance activities to the next level.
This year’s Summit will feature:
1. Keynote speaker Jim Chase (Minnesota Community Measurement), who will will provide an overview of cancer screening data, including how data can impact coalitions to take action
2. “My Colorectal Cancer Journey” survivor story from Ruth Edstrom
3. Breakout sessions highlighting 2009-2010 Alliance projects
4. Working sessions – including colorectal cancer, prostate cancer and quality of life initiatives – to highlight new projects, identify resources and accelerate progress
5. Spirit of Collaboration Awards
6. Reception
The Summit is open to anyone interested in participating in Minnesota’s collaborative effort to reduce the burden of cancer.
